If you like to turn heads when out and about, this Akita named Araki is the dog for you. Born in late 2018, Araki is still very much in the prime of his life. He came to ARK just months ago due to difficult family circumstances.

Lovely, strong and handsome, Araki has the boldness and calm often attributed to his breed. He is initially cautious around new people and takes his time to get to know them, which is also typical of Akitas.

Araki takes a bit of time to warm up to new people — but when he does, you’ll have a friend for life.

Araki will size you up and look you in the eye, as if to ask, “Are we friends forever or just for today?” Once you’re a part of his circle of friends, however, he has boundless energy for playing and takes all the attention and affection he can get.

He also loves walks and is extremely gentle on the leash. No tugs at all — just on the heartstrings!

If you are interested in adopting, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 (English or 性视界ese) Monday to Saturday (bilingual) for more information.
